Do I need to pay for a tree?

Accepted Answer

No—there’s no cost for the tree. The $3 fee is to help reduce no-shows and ensure trees go to participants who plan to attend and plant them. If you email fhecker@scgov.net with a brief pledge to attend the workshop and plant your tree, you’ll receive a code to waive $3 cost.

What tree will I receive?

Tree availability is site-specific. Each workshop location will offer one of the five tree species selected to perform best under local conditions. We recommend attending the workshop closest to you to receive the most suitable tree for your area.

Question 3

Can I get more than one tree?

Accepted Answer

We do limit trees to one per a household. During the class you will learn about around ~25 other tree species which you can purchase on your own.

I am unable to attend can I still get my tree?

Accepted Answer

Unfortunately, no. Attendance is required to receive a tree, as the workshop provides essential guidance on proper planting, care, and long-term success. To make it accessible, we’re offering six in-person workshops across the county plus an evening webinar option.

Can I get a refund?

Accepted Answer

Refunds are not available, as the fee is voluntary, minimal, and processing refunds is costly. If something comes up, we may be able to accommodate you at one of the other five workshop dates.
