Foraging at the Farm: Pasture Walk then Tinctures & Teas Demo
Join us for a foraging walk (and take some leaves and blooms home!) and learn how to make tinctures, oils, and teas from wild plants!
Foraging at the Farm
Join Melissa Falcone for a fun Pasture Walk where we'll discover wild edible plants together! After wandering the fields, stick around for a hands-on Tinctures & Teas Demo. Learn how to turn your finds into tasty and healing brews. It's all happening at True Cut Ranch, so come ready to explore and sip!
First we'll welcome you to True Cut Ranch with an assortment of iced, herbal teas (foraged and from the garden) then explain safe and ethical foraging.
We'll then go for a stroll in different pasture areas and identify at least ten wild plants. You'll be offered a chance to snip and pick many of them to take home if you wish.
After our walk we'll cool off at the covered picnic area, Creekview, with more refreshing drinks. We'll craft an herbal mocktail together, show medicinal and culinary uses for the plants we featured on our stroll, and demonstrate three common ways to use herbs: teas, syrups, tinctures, and infused oils.
What to bring:
Gloves and baskets or bags for things you forage are optional.
What to wear:
Dress appropriate for the weather. Long pants are encouraged, as we could be walking through tall rass at times. Comfortable shoes that can get dirty are ideal.
