Foundation 6: Performance with John Remak

Class Time/Dates: 7:00pm-10:00pm on Tuesdays // July 7, 14, 21, 28, August 4, 11

Schedule: 6 sessions

Class length: 3 hours

Class size: 12 students maximum

Prerequisite: F5 or equivalent experience required.

The name of the game in Foundation 6 is getting performance ready! The course culminates in a live performance, where your ensemble will showcase a format you’ve researched, shaped, and brought to life together.

In F6, improvisers will focus on:

• Building strong stage presence and learning how to engage an audience with confidence.
• Developing physicality and vocal variety to create dynamic characters and environments and build compelling scenes.
• Strengthening ensemble awareness and supporting one another in performance.
• Exploring how performing for an audience can transform energy, heighten commitment, and deepen the joy of improvisation.

At the end of Foundation 6, the coach will make a recommendation for each student about their next step — repeating Foundation 6 or moving to Performance Labs to continue the improviser's performance journey.

We have community standards, a conflict process, and a COVID prevention policy in place. Agreement/acceptance of these policies is required to participate in BATS classes. Refunds / Transfers / Exchanges

All BATS Improv class registrations are final, and we’re not able to offer refunds or transfers once you’ve enrolled.

Canceled Classes

If we need to cancel a class due to low enrollment, illness, or other surprises, you’ll receive a class credit good through the end of the calendar year. Credits can be applied to any BATS Improv class for which you've satisfied the prerequisites, or gifted to a friend or family member.
