Goddess Hike: Atsion Lake Loop (Atsion, NJ)
A restorative and soul-filling hike for Black women ready to rise, reconnect, and grow in community.
Step into the heart of the Pine Barrens for our July Goddess Hike at Atsion Lake Loop — a shaded, breezy, blueberry‑lined trail that feels like a true summer retreat. This 4‑mile loop is one of the most beloved warm‑weather hikes in South Jersey, offering cool pine canopies, lake views, sandy paths, and the soft hush of the forest all around you.
July is peak blueberry season in the Pines, and this trail often gifts us with clusters of wild berries along the way. We’ll move at a steady, conversational pace, pausing to breathe, notice, and enjoy the sweetness of the season.
Whether you’re joining us to reset, reconnect, or simply be held by nature for a few hours, you’ll be in beautiful company.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
- A guided 4‑mile hike through the Pines
- A welcoming, supportive community of Black women hikers
- Gentle grounding moments to open and close our time together
- A pace that balances movement, conversation, and reflection
- Wild blueberries often line the trail in July
MEET-UP DETAILS:
8:45 AM — We gather, greet, stretch, and set intentions before stepping onto the trail. For safety reasons, exact trail details will be shared in the event reminder sent on the Friday before the hike.
WHO THIS IS FOR:
Black women seeking community, joy, grounding, and movement in nature. Whether it’s your first hike or your fiftieth, you are welcome here.
WHY WE GATHER:
Camping Noire hikes are designed to offer more than miles — they offer space. Space to breathe, to reconnect, to be witnessed, and to move at a pace that honors your body. Every hike is an invitation to return to yourself and to the land.
Come as you are. Leave a little lighter, a little clearer, and a little more connected!
See you on the trails!
