Pedal-powered art races across streets, sand, mud & river! Wild machines, costumes, music & mayhem—for the fun of it, for the glory!
JULY 18-19, 2026: Head west for the Graand Kinetic Challenge in Corvallis. Teams race wildly wacky pedal-powered kinetic sculptures over streets, sand, mud, and the Willamette River in Oregon’s most joyfully weird weekend, joined by OSU’s Corvallis Kaleidoscope festival with live music, STEAM activities, food, and family fun. All are welcome, events are free.
Where: Day 1: PRAx (Patricia Valian Reser Center for the Creative Arts), 470 SW 15th, Corvallis and the Benton County Fairgrounds parking lot. Day 2: Crystal Lake Sports Park, 100 SE Fischer Lane, Corvallis.
Saturday, July 18th: Judging of Engineering & Pageantry (10am); Starting Line (12:15); race through campus to the Sand Dune Challenge; and Saturday's Finish Line back at PRAx.
Sunday, July 19th: Mud Bog Challenge (10am); River Challenge (noonish); Meet & Greet at The Graand Finish! (1pm ish - 4ipm ish)
