Herbal Allies: Tulsi Pastille Making
Experience the soothing and uplifting power of tulsi (holy basil) in this hands-on herbal workshop
Fig leaves carry a warm coconut-vanilla scent and have long been used in traditional herbal preparations. In this workshop, we’ll explore the unique qualities of fig leaves, learn how and when to harvest them, and transform them into a delicious seasonal syrup.
Together we’ll walk through the simple process of extracting flavor and medicinal qualities from fresh leaves and preserving them in a shelf-stable syrup you can enjoy for months. Fig leaf syrup is wonderful in sparkling water, cocktails and mocktails, over fruit, or in desserts.
Participants will leave with knowledge of fig leaf folklore and herbal uses, along with their own jar of fig leaf syrup to take home.
This class is part of the Herbal Allies Series and is now available as a drop-in. You’re welcome to join for a single session or attend the full series as your schedule allows. 🌿
