We’ll meet, connect, take a gentle 1-mile hike, share cacao, and then lay down under the trees for a deeply peaceful sound bath.

Hike, Cacao & Sound Bath in Alum Rock Park

Join Hugo and Jeff for a nourishing outdoor experience in the forest at Alum Rock Park.

We will begin by meeting as a group, taking a little time to arrive, socialize, and connect with each other before the hike begins. This first part is meant to feel easy and welcoming — a chance to say hello, settle into the group energy, and begin the experience without rushing.

From there, we will start a gentle mindful hike through the park around 1 mile. As we walk, we’ll let the body move, the mind soften, and the nervous system slowly begin to relax into the rhythm of nature. This is not meant to be an intense hike. The focus is presence, connection, fresh air, and enjoying the beauty of the forest together.

Once we arrive at our sound bath location, we will initiate the ceremony with cacao. We’ll take a moment to slow down, drink cacao together, set intentions, and open the heart before moving into the deeper healing portion of the gathering.

After the cacao ceremony, you’ll be invited to lay down under the trees and receive a forest sound bath. Surrounded by nature, you’ll rest while the sounds of singing bowls, chimes, handpan, gentle percussion, and the forest itself create a peaceful and grounding healing atmosphere.

Last time we gathered for this experience, we were surrounded by gentle deer, which made the whole moment feel even more magical. Nature always brings her own surprises, and we’re opening space for another beautiful afternoon filled with connection, stillness, forest sounds, and sweet little moments.
