Overview
With warmer temperatures settling in we'll see more wildlife exploring the trails, especially reptiles.
We love our reptiles and that includes snakes!
At Dogwood Canyon Audubon Center we have a variety of these scaled friends that call the preserve home. We are always happy to see them, but we know that some people are not happy to see them and may be scared to walk our trails becasue of our snakes.
If this is you? Join us for Hiking with Snakes! In this class we will talk about how we can safely walk trails with snakes, learn a bit about snake behavior, meet a few of our Ambassador Animal snakes, and weather permitting, take a short hike to use our new skills.
