Our tourism experiences focus on family, fun, and analysis inspiring people to connect with the cultural and natural heritage of the destination. All our activities are aligned to Regenerative Tourism and Sustainable Tourism.

The language of this experience is English. ⏳ Lasts8 hours ⌚ 9:00 AM a 11:30 AM 🚶‍♀️🚶 ✅This walk includes stops at iconic locations on the streets within the city center. 📍 San Lorenzo has a beautiful history and culture to tell! This countryside town will give you the perspective of Puerto Rican life outside of the Metro Region. Feel the warm hospitality and see the beauty of the mountains in the Eastern region. 🗣️ We will be sharing information with you about:<ul><li>foundation history</li><li>music</li><li>biodiversity</li><li>agriculture</li></ul> ⌚ 11:30 AM a 1:30 PM You will have free time to:<ul><li>lunch at your own in your preferred place</li><li>meet and talk with the local people at the place you choose</li><li>Support local businesses</li></ul> 🗣️ We will be sharing places to eat to you where you can have lunch at your own. ⌚ 1:30 AM a 5:00 PM 🐝 We will meet again to visit the beekeeping farm. There, you will discover the bees work beyond pollination. Just like all the exploits of a beekeeper and the care of the bees on his farm. 👩‍🌾👨‍🌾 This is an educational and hands-on experience on a beekeeping farm. 📌 The first part of the tour is on the farm (1:45 hours)You will arrive at a meeting point in San Lorenzo, from there you can follow us to the farm in your car. We will send you the meeting point once your reservation process is completed. 📌 The second part of the tour is in the store (45 minutes to 1 hour)At the same time everybody goes out to the store in a group from the farm. You will be able to learn about the facilities and honey packaging process. These odors could affect the behavior of bees.</li><li>You must wear a special suit for this activity (provided by the farm) when interacting with the bees. Interaction with the bees will not be allowed to people who do not comply with this point.</li><li>You must wear long socks and closed shoes. Interaction with the bees will not be allowed to people who do not comply with this point.</li><li>A release of responsibility (waiver) must be completed before beginning the tour. The form is digital, and you will receive a copy of it in your email when you submit your information. You will receive the link on your purchase receipt, which this platform will email to you.</li><li>In the reservation you must report if you have allergies or any existing health conditions, and identify all the people who are in your group. In the form is a section to include yourself and the people with you.</li><li>We talk about the history, culture, gastronomy, and biodiversity of the visited destination.</li><li>We will set a meeting point for the participants. You must be at the meeting point at the indicated time. For security reasons, the specific meeting point is only shared with you after completing the reservation.</li><li>The automatic email after your purchase will be sent but probably is going to your “Updates” folder. Some of our communications go to those folders.</li><li>Each participant must bring snacks, water, and money for their food purchases, if the tour does not include it. (Each experience description has the details if some food is included.)</li><li>The use of sports and fresh clothing is recommended. Flexible and light colors. Avoid dark colors.</li><li>Wear closed-toed shoes that can get dirty. A pair with a good grip on the ground. To participate in our activities we do not recommend wearing high-heeled, elevated shoes, sandals or flip flops. The surfaces we will be on could have unevenness and elements of nature (branches, stones, among others).</li><li>Bring extra clothes and shoes to change. In case it rains, or you just want to change at the end of the tour.</li><li>The use of mosquito repellent and sunscreen is recommended. Should be natural, or organic if possible.</li><li>Other alternatives to protect yourself from the sun are a hat, a cap, or an umbrella.</li><li>Bring a raincoat ('poncho', 'impermeable') for the rain.</li><li>Bring a camera to capture your memories during your experience.</li><li>Binoculars for birdwatching, closer view.</li><li>Be enthusiastic about breathing fresh air, get to know the enchantment of Puerto Rico.</li></ol> How does Turismo Borincano define Level of Difficulty?Level 1: Easy | People of all ages can participate.Level 2: Moderate | Requires moderate physical condition to move through some inaccessible sections. Minors must always be under adult supervision.Level 3: Difficult | Requires a good physical condition. The ground will probably be uneven, rocky, or slippery. Not recommended for underage participants (-21).Level 4: Extreme | Requires participants to be in high physical condition. The ground will be uneven, rocky, or slippery.
