The Hutchinson River Restoration Project is a non-profit organization dedicated to the long-term protection and restoration of the Hutchinson River. We are committed to working with local communities, politicians, and other environmental organizations to ensure that the river is restored to a healthy habitat.Our mission is to restore and enhance the health of the Hutchinson River for current and future generations. We strive to reduce pollution, improve the river's water quality, and protect its wildlife and habitats. By working together, we believe we can create a healthier and more vibrant river for all to enjoy.

Join the Hutchinson River Cleanup at Split Rock!The Hutchinson River Restoration Project and Save the Sound are hosting a cleanup event at Split Rock on April 6th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.The Hutchinson River needs our help, and we’re here to make a difference. Volunteers can take part in a land-based cleanup or a water-based cleanup (for those with boats).What to Bring:BootsLong-sleeve shirtHatSunscreenBug sprayWaterSnackLet’s work together to restore the river—see you there!~Street parking is available.~BX16, BX 30, 0061 and a few other buses stop within a five minute walk to the location.~We will provide gloves, grabbers, trash bags, and anything else required for trash collection.​~Please purchase a ticket for everyone in your group so we have an accurate headcount.~By purchasing a ticket you are agreeing to our Waiver, which can be found on our website https://www.hutchinsonriver.org/cleanups.​Please email melissasw@hutchinsonriver.org if you will be bringing your own boat.
