July First Day Hike!

Why limit "First Day" hikes to just January? We decided that 2026 is the year to take this annual tradition through the entire calendar!

Join Compass Point, home of Dirty Girl Adventures, for an evening on the trail on Wednesday, July 1st. Hiking is the perfect way to unplug, engage with nature, and connect with a community of fellow outdoor lovers.

• When: Wednesday, July 1st at 5:45 PM - we usually hike for time on weekdays so this hike will wrap up by about 7:30pm
• Where: Kaw River State Park, Topeka (Detailed directions will be emailed to participants before the event)
• The Experience: A guided group hike packed with fun facts about our local trails, flora, and fauna.
• What to Wear & Bring: Water, snacks, bug spray, a bandana, trekking poles, and sturdy shoes with good tread.

• Regular Price: $20
• DGA Club Member Price: $15

What’s Included? Your registration covers a fully organized event by Dirty Girl Adventures, LLC. We provide both a lead guide and a sweep guide to ensure no one is left behind. You get full trail support—including first aid, safety and pace monitoring, and expert interpretive information about the local environment—along with continuous weather monitoring to keep everyone safe.

Refund & Weather Policy

• Refunds: Standard refunds are available up to two weeks before the event date. Please submit your request via email to adventure@dirtygirladventures.net. No refunds will be issued after this two-week window.
• Weather Cancellation: We hike and paddle in cool, rainy, or even snowy conditions! Cancellations will only occur in the event of severe or dangerous weather. If Dirty Girl Adventures cancels the event due to weather, everyone will receive a full refund.
