Come and be dazzled by the extraordinary nighttime creatures known as moths. Join ecologist Beth Taylor in viewing, photograpning and identifying the moths in our forests. Known as a "Moth Ball," we will attract the moths with special lights and treats.

There is no definite start or end time for this event. Come and leave at your convenience any time between 9:00 - 11:00pm. Please note that there will be more moths as the night goes into complete darkness.

Open to participants aged 10 and up, with children accompanied by an adult.


Your Guide:

Beth Taylor is a CCF Trustee, Cape Cod ecologist, conservationist and retired science teacher.


Special Notes:

Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear for a night-time walk along uneven ground, and bring a flashlight or headlamp.

Please Note:

  • Ticket sales are final - no refunds.
  • You will be notified by telephone if the walk must be cancelled because of inclement weather, and your ticket(s) will be fully refunded.
  • Meeting details and directions will be provided upon purchase of tickets.
