Junior Rangers: Hummingbrids

Overview

Welcome to the fascinating, fast, and furious world of these tiny, vibrant birds!

Through interactive activities and guided observation, Junior Rangers learn about hummingbird habitats, behaviors, and the importance of preserving their ecosystems, fostering a deeper appreciation for nature's delicate wonders. We will meet at the Visitor Center.

The Junior Rangers program is designed for children ages 6 to 12 who are interested in exploring the natural environment, making new friends, and having fun. After attending three Junior Ranger events throughout the summer, participants are eligible to receive an official "badge."

Please note: children must be accompanied by an adult at all times for Junior Ranger events.

The program is free with a Colorado Parks and Wildlife State Park pass, otherwise admission is $10 per car or $4 walk-in.

Timed Entry reservations are required for park access on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays from May 1st to Oct 1st from 5:30 am to 3:30 pm. You can book your entry here: https://www.cpwshop.com/home.page under the "Visit a Park" tab.
