Join FCS Agent Sarah Paschall to explore pickling using the water bath canning method. In this class we will be pickling beets.
Canning is a great way to perserve your favorite foods to enjoy all year round! These products can be used as thoughtful gifts to family and friends as well as delicious additions to any meal. In using a two-piece vacuum sealing cap and heating the product this interrupts normal spoilage and decaying food cycle. Utilizing canning is a great way to save food costs and prevent food waste.
This class will focus on the water bath canning method and participants will learn about equipment needs, utilizing safe recipes, and preparing pickled beets.
