Kensington Paths Tour

Kensington Paths Tour

299 Arlington AveKensington, CA
Overview

Walking tour of paths in Kensington that connect streets and were originally created to provide access to rail transportation.

This walking tour that will include Kensington’s paths and connecting streets. We will meet in front of Raxakoul Coffee and Cheese at 299 Arlington Ave. and finish at the same location.

On this walk, we will discuss the history of the paths and other points of interest. The tour guide, Rodney Paul, is a member of the Kensington Pathkeepers, which has worked to achieve ownership of 3 of the 11 paths by the Kensington Community Services District. The Pathkeepers are involved in maintaining and improving the paths and also aims to achieve public ownership of the remaining paths.

Our walking tour will go at a moderate pace. But since some of our route goes uphill, participants should have a level of fitness to comfortably ascend stairs and streets. If you have walking sticks, they'll come in handy.
