Learn to Paint: Desert Sunsets in Watercolor
There's nothing like a sunset in the Sonoran Desert. After the sun dips below the horizon, the sky puts on a show with brilliant pinks, purples, yellows, and blues as the landscape slowly turns a dusky purple. The layers of hills and mountains become more distinct as the shadows of saguaros, ocotillo, prickly pear and other native plants show off in silhouette.
In this fun, hands-on workshop, Stephanie Daniels of Brushes and Boots will walk you through the steps to draw and paint your own Sonoran Desert sunset scene, from sketching your landscape to mixing colors and adding paint in layers to your paper.
No previous experience necessary -- this workshop is for both beginners and experienced painters.
