Leave No Trace - Courses and Events

Leave No Trace training and events highlighting the habitat preserves Wiliamson County has established and the endangered species that call them home. Hiking permit courses for those 13 years old and up, youth-oriented game days, and outdoor workshops.

Welcome to Leave No Trace for Williamson County Preserves! Date: Saturday, August 10, 2024Time: 10:00 - 11:30 AMLocation: River Ranch County Park Interpretive Center1014 Homestead Loop, Liberty Hill, TX 78642(There is a $2-$4 day-use fee unless you are a Parks Pass holder.) The Williamson County Conservation Foundation (WCCF) is pleased to announce that we are once again offering the Leave No Trace for Williamson County Preserves courses! Come join us for a fun and educational event where we will build upon the Leave No Trace principles by learning how they can benefit our beautiful preserves and the endangered/threatened species that live on them. This course features two components:First, complete the free Leave No Trace 101 course on-line at the link below and email your certificate to <a href="https://wccf@wilco.org" title="https://wccf@wilco.org" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">wccf@wilco.org</a> as soon as possible. <a href="https://learn.lnt.org/courses/101" title="https://learn.lnt.org/courses/101" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">https://learn.lnt.org/courses/101</a> Second, attend the in-person course on Saturday, August 10th to receive your preserves access pass. This training is for anyone interested in what the Foundation does and for people wanting an access pass for the Twin Springs and Beck preserve areas. Passes are required for each individual 13 years old and up. Let's work together to help preserve nature for future generations to enjoy. Hope to see you there!
