Overview
Explore the drama of Crystal Gorge amidst the beauty of fall foliage
85-acre Crystal Gorge is part of the larger 300-acre Crystal Lake Conservation Area. Throughout the gorge are numerous small streams, wetlands and vernal pools that weave between the rocky ledges. This dramatic landscape is adjacent to recently conserved Greenbelt watershed land. This moderate 2-3 mile hike will include the city-owned Gorge and Greenbelt's trail extension. Our leader is Rachel Horgan, Greenbelt Director of Development and Community Engagement. Consider bringing hiking poles for stability.
