Inspired by the Lindley Library's beautiful collection of Victorian postcards, explore how London’s Royal Parks have evolved from their opening to today.
With expert insight from our guest speakers, Anna Barry, Historical Researcher for The Royal Parks, and Head of Horticulture and Landscape Strategy, Matthew Pottage, we will consider the history of some familiar features from London's beloved parks.
Uncover the history and future plans for the fragrant roses of Queen Mary's Garden in The Regent's Park, the sanctuary of The Dell in Hyde Park, and the Italianate water gardens at Kensington Garden.

The Royal Parks - The Royal Parks charity protects, conserves, maintains and cares for over 5,000 acres of historic parkland in the heart of London. We will be joined by Historical Researcher for The Royal Parks, Anna Barry, and Head of Horticulture and Landscape Strategy, Matthew Pottage (formerly Curator of RHS Garden Wisley). Tickets for this event are required, with the ticket cost supporting the RHS Lindley Library. RHS membership not required.
