One Saturday per month, join UpaDowna for a morning of fun with a short hike followed by a craft!
Event Details: Join UpaDowna on a short hike around a variety of locations at family-friendly parks and open spaces in Colorado Springs. We will go on a short hike/walk, followed by a craft. Hikes are typically stroller-friendly. Please no pets (e.g., dogs). All kids are required to have adult supervision throughout the entire event.
Meeting Point: We will meet at a variety of locations throughout Colorado Springs. Check out the Agenda below for the specific locations. Be sure to look out for the Yeti Crew. When you arrive, please sign the waiver for your Little Hiker.
What to Bring: Please wear layers, supportive shoes (preferably closed-toe shoes), bring sun protection, water, and a snack.
Cost: This is a $15 per family for the season. You must RSVP on Eventbrite. Please purchase a season pass if this is your first Little Hiker Event.
Donations: Donations are greatly appreciated and are important for UpaDowna to continue to offer accessible adventures for our community. If you would like to make a one-time or recurring donation, please visit Donate - UpaDowna.
About Little Hikers: This is a SPUR event - Similar Paths United by Recreation. It's geared towards Little Hikers, which means it's for families with toddlers and children under 8 years of age. To UpaDowna, the definition of SPUR is Similar Paths United (by) Recreation. Many of us walk the same path and don’t even know it. Finding camaraderie with others who share similar interests helps us feel more comfortable with new experiences. Many times, it can also help to share your challenges with folks who are “climbing” the same mountain as you. Little Hikers SPUR Events are for families with young children. All participants must have an adult chaperone for the entire event.
Become a Little Yeti: Join us for 5 or more Little Hiker events this season to receive a Freddie the Yeti keychain. Please note, only the little hikers are eligible, not the adults.
