University of Nevada Cooperative Extension is an outreach unit of the College of Agriculture, Biotechnology & Natural Resources. We design and deliver community programs to residents of Clark County with other agencies and volunteers. We learn about the needs of our county and develop programs to meet them. We offer education, training and instruction in Health & Nutrition; Children, Youth & Families; and Water, Horticulture, Economics & Environment.
What: It's Showtime! Livestock Camp is a high-energy educational event that focuses on hands-on interactive learning experiences.
Who: -Youth ages 9-19 years of age as January 1, 2019. -Must be actively enrolled in either a 4-H club or FFA Chapter.
Meeting Dates and times: Friday, February 15 6:00 PM – Sunday, February 17 1:00 PM
Costs: $60 to supply youth with meals, instructor travel, etc. If youth are wanting to receive the Youth Quality Care for Animals Certificate, please register them via yqca.com Meals Provided: Breakfast: Saturday and Sunday Morning; Lunch: Saturday; Dinner: Friday and Saturday; Snacks will be based on donations.
Topic Presentations: Livestock Judging Youth Quality Care for Animals Workshop Beef, Lamb, Market Goat and Swine Fitting & Showmanship

4-H Overnight Camps

Clark County 4-H overnight camps provide youth ages 9-19 with outdoor learning and leadership development. Hosted at the Nevada 4-H Camp Alamo (100 miles north of Las Vegas), these programs feature STEM, archery, arts and survival skills.
