Convened by the United Nations, the <a href="https://www.unep.org/un-biodiversity-conference-cop-15" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">UN Biodiversity Conference (COP15)</a> produced a <a href="https://www.unep.org/un-biodiversity-conference-cop-15" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"></a>framework that sets new goals for global actions to halt and reverse nature loss.S﻿an Francisco Biodiversity Coordinator Peter Brastow attended COP15 with an eye to how these goals can be integrated into the already-ambitions actions proposed in San Francisco&#x27;s <a href="https://sfenvironment.org/climateplan" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Climate Action Plan</a>.J﻿oin our virtual event to learn what action San Francisco is already taking to restore healthy ecosystems, and how the COP15 framework will provide inspiration and incentive to achieve these important biodiversity and climate goals.<h3>5:30 - 6:15 - Main Program</h3><ul><li>Welcome from NTC&#x27;s Executive Director, Amber Hasselbring</li></ul><ul><li>F﻿eatured Speaker: Peter Brastow, Senior Biodiversity Coordinator at San Francisco Department of the Environment, will share the highlights of the COP15 Conference and how they can be integrated into San Francisco&#x27;s Climate Action Plan. Peter is the founder of Nature in the City and has gone on to make San Francisco a leader in promoting and protecting diverse native ecosystems around the city.</li></ul><ul><li>Q﻿&amp;A with the full group</li></ul><ul><li>T﻿his section will be recorded and shared afterwards</li></ul><h3>6:15 - 6:30 - Breakout Room Discussion (Optional): </h3><ul><li>Here is your chance to engage and interact in a smaller group. You can ask questions or share ideas and insights with Peter Brastow or Nature in the City staff in a breakout room.</li><li>W﻿e can continue the discussion past 6:30 if people are still excited to talk. </li><li>T﻿his section will not be recorded, and participants are encouraged to join the discussion on camera.</li></ul><h3>Preparation: </h3>We encourage you to join on a device with a webcam and speakers so you can participate in the discussion.
