Meant to Bee: A Romance & Romantasy Book Fair (FREE TICKETS)

Get ready for a book fair that's so sweet you'll want to bring someone to share it with—friend, partner, pet... that part's up to you! 💖

For our second outing at Apis Wine & Meadery, we're leaning alllllll the way into those “summer of love” vibes with a talented group of sweet and spicy local romance and romantasy writers. This time around, we’ll be spreading out onto the patio, so it should be much easier for everyone to browse and enjoy the ambiance! We’ll also have food, entertainment, local maker tables, and cold drinks on tap.

In addition to all the great author tables to browse, which will be set up for the duration of the book fair, we're also excited to have entertainment provided by audiobook narrator Amber Battaglia. Amber will be on stage reading some of her favorite love scenes from books she's worked on—warning: some of them are VERY spicy. 🌶 Audience participation is absolutely encouraged; just pick a scene and give it your best performance!

We also have local romance bookstore Passionate Pages joining us with a pop-up booth selling books and vintage clothing. If you haven't made the trip out to Lawrenceville to visit them in person yet, here's your chance to support this new Pittsburgh indie without having to traverse a bridge or tunnel to do it. 😉

And there's more... The tea mavens from Abeille Voyante Tea Co. are returning with a new beverage blending opportunity: make a sun tea mix (using as much or as little direction as you'd like) and take it home in a cute container as a refreshing treat for one of those inevitably hot and muggy July days... ❄️

Our friends at Storied Florals will also be on hand with another interactive add-on: make a pressed flower bookmark using an array of gorgeous beauties from their bloom bar. This activity, plus the suntea blending mentioned above, will have separate sign-up links to pay in advance. (You are welcome to wait until the book fair to decide whether you'd like to participate in these activities, but preordering does help our partners to better plan ahead!)
