Medium Independent Distillers Class {Whiskey Row Region}

The 30+ Medium Independent Bourbon Distillers make up only 3% of the world's bourbon production but have a profound effect on the industry. This class will focus on the Medium Independent Distillers within the Whiskey Row Region in and around Louisville, Kentucky.

Some of the Top Distilleries are: Michter’s Distilleries; Angel’s Envy Distillery; Kentucky Artisan Distillery which makes Jefferson’s; Peerless Distillery, Stitzel-Weller Distillery; Rabbit Hole Distillery; Boundry Oak Distillery; Prohibition Craft Distillery and Ballotin Whiskeys.

This tasting will focus on distillers the Medium Distillers that are larger than Craft or Boutique Distillers. There are hundreds of Craft Distiller that make up less than one percent of the world' bourbon. The Medium distillers produce between 500,000 and 1,800,000 proof gallons annually. The large distiller produces more than 1,800,000 proof gallons annually.
