Meet, Greet and Fly Fish: Women's Pond Event
Join Twin Tiers Five Rivers FFi and New York Fly Girls for our sixth annual women's fly fishing event at Erwin Pond near Corning, NY.
Did you know that June 27 is National Women’s Fly Fishing Day?
In celebration of the occasion, the women of Twin Tiers Five Rivers FFi are excited to welcome our friends from New York Fly Girls to our sixth annual Meet, Greet, & Fly Fish Gathering at Erwin Wildlife Management Area.
We’ll be fishing rain or shine from 3:00–8:00 p.m. and would love for you to join us for an evening of fly fishing, friendship, and summer fun.
Once again, the event is free and open to all women and all levels. There will be beverages and snacks available. Feel free to bring something to share if you like.
This is an ideal opportunity to brush up on your own skills and to meet other women who enjoy our sport. June 27 falls on a free fishing weekend in New York State, so no fishing license is required. If you don't have any equipment, we have some club rods and flies available for loan. We will be able to offer a very basic introduction to beginners. Best of all, the Erwin pond is full of hungry bass and bluegill.
