Meet Six Neighbors Challenge Kickoff
Did you know that the most important steps you can take to prepare for an emergency is to get to know the people who live nearby?
Join us for the kickoff of the Meet Six Neighbors Challenge, a community-wide effort to help residents build stronger connections and increase resilience, one introduction at a time. Participants who complete this challenge will be entered into a raffle for a Neighbor Pizza Party with Chief Sprague!
This event will bring neighbors together through conversation, activities, and community resources. You'll learn how to participate in the challenge, meet fellow residents, and discover simple ways to strengthen your neighborhood network this summer.
The challenge is simple: meet six neighbors before the end of the summer and participate in National Night Out on August 4. Whether you're new to the area or have lived here for years, every new connection helps build a community that is more welcoming, supportive, and prepared for whatever comes our way. Participants who complete this challenge will be entered into a raffle for a Neighbor Pizza Party with Chief Sprague!
Come enjoy refreshments, connect with your community, and take the first step toward knowing six neighbors before you need six neighbors. People who complete the summer challenge will be eligible for exciting prizes from the Berkeley Fire Department!
Everyone is welcome but this might be particularly useful for people who don't know their neighbors as much or haven't ever participated in a block party.
