The Detroit Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped (LBPH) is located at the Douglass Branch. It offers services, materials, and events to anyone with a visual or physical handicap, or a reading disability.

Think about how you want to interact with the world around you. What activities did you once enjoy that you do less of now? What daily tasks could you use support with?</p><p>Do you squint when reading your phone? There are AT features that can help make text more visible and comfortable to read. Did you used to fish every weekend but haven't since your car accident? There's AT for that—from adaptive fishing rod holders to beeping bobbers. Have you dreamed of becoming the next great American baker but thought your disabilities might prevent you from cooking? There is AT for that too—from adapted kitchen tools to voice-controlled appliances that can transform your culinary experience.</p><p>Maybe you already know exactly what AT you want to try, and that's great!
