Mini-Meadow on Main: Cape Cod Native Plantings
Free garden tour
Garden Tour: Mini-Meadow on Main
Date and Time: Saturday, July 11th, 11:00am
Speaker: Cathy Weston
When CCF moved its headquarters to the Mayo House on Main Street, we decided to replace the traditional lawn with plantings more reflective of our environmental mission.
Our Mini-Meadow, installed in 2018 with a selection of ape Cod native plants, continues to educate the public about the benefit of native plantings. Join CCF Trustee Cathy Weston to learn how the CCF Mini-Meadow supports pollinators, thrives with modest levels of maintenance, provides visual interest and demonstrates the possibilities of using native plants in private and public gardens.
Cathy Weston is a CCF Trustee and self-proclaimed "native plant geek.” She helped design and maintains the Mini-Meadow with a crew of dedicated CCF volunteers. Cathy has a Certificate in Native Plant Horticulture and Design from the New England Wild Flower Society.
