Come experience the beauty of nocturnal pollinators and learn about their role within our local ecosystems!
This community celebration will feature a nighttime mothing station, a talk on fireflies by local author, naturalist, and Xerces Society Ambassador Kate Taylor, and the opportunity to witness firefly displays firsthand in Rock Point's beautiful natural area. We will also have s'mores!
This is an all ages event. Children must be accompanied and supervised by adults.
*We recommend bringing sunglasses for the mothing station to protect your eyes from the UV mothing light. We will have some available for use, too. We also recommend wearing long sleeves, insect repellent, and tucking pants into socks to help prevent tick bites.
RAIN DATE: If it rains on Friday the 26th, the event will be held the following night: Saturday, June 27th.
This event is put on with generous support from the One Hive Foundation. Tickets are available with an optional sliding scale donation to support our mission and community programming. You can access free tickets by entering the code FREEFIREFLY in the promo code box at checkout.
