"Natives in Focus" Plant Walk: Ft. De Soto County Park
Join Pinellas Chapter of the Florida Native Plant Society members at Fort DeSoto County Park to identify and appreciate native plants.
We will visit the Soldiers Hole Hiking Trail to view coastal species like seagrape, coinvine, seaside gentian, mangroves, marsh elder, and seaside heliotrope.

If there is time and interest, we will proceed to the Arrowhead hiking trail where there is a rosemary bald and a coastal hammock ecosystem.

Please bring: hat, sunscreen/sun protection, insect repellent, ample (!) drinking water.
There is a $6 per car entrance fee that is payable by mobile app, text, or on-site terminals. There is a $0.35 convenience fee if you use the app or text methods.
