Best summarized as a guided mindfulness walk, Forest Bathing offers a series of sensory awareness invitations. It involves going very slowly or simply sitting outdoors, for participants to experience the restorative benefits of natural environments.

Sign up today and get ready to connect with the natural world!This event is a chance to connect with the natural world and deepen your relationship with the environment. Also known as Forest or Nature Therapy, Forest Bathing can be summarized as a series of activities using your senses (sounds, sight, smell, taste, touch) that will help you feel more grounded and connected to the Earth. This event is perfect for anyone who wants to slow down, unplug, and reconnect with nature. Research shows that people with good nature connectedness are usually happier in life and more likely to report feeling their lives are worthwhile. Living into our potential! And Nature Therapy can be especially beneficial to those in need of…<ul><li>recharging, slowing down, restoring energetic levels</li><li>reducing stress and/or anxiety, anger</li><li>managing burnout, grief, depression, fatigue, blood pressure, and other chronic health challenges</li><li>improving sleep, mood, concentration, creativity, immune function</li><li>gaining a sense of connection, wonder, awe </li></ul>As a guide, I have specific training in supporting people to improve their well-being by engaging with the natural world. This has been the foundation of a 16+ year career as an outdoor educator; facilitating experiences for folx to connect with Nature, in more broad and inclusive ways.We&#x27;ll spend the evening in the park, enjoying the longest day of the year and all the beauty that nature has to offer. This is not a hike or meditation, but best described as a slow meander. This experience is ideal for persons older than 12, and who are comfortable travelling on uneven, unpaved terrain; though we can easily adapt for anyone with more limited mobility (fatigue, uneven gait, use of walker or cane). Masks are optional (we will be outdoors the entire time). Sorry, no dogs but consider signing up with a human friend!*****By registering for and attending a walk, all participants agree they are responsible for their own personal, physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, and property well-being. Please be respectful and do what you can to care for yourself and the community.****Last note: Cancellations more than 48 hours prior to event start will receive a full refund less Eventbrite fees; 48 hours or less: no refund or transfer will be offered.
