Glass Blowing Classes

WheatonArts Glass Studio Classes & Workshops

Wednesday Instruction: April 1 - May 6Friday Student Open Blow (optional): April 3 - May 86:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.Class Duration: 6 sessions, 18 instruction hours total, 18 hours of Student Open BlowLocation: Glass StudioAges: 16 and aboveClass Limit: 4 to 8Class Fee: $495Instructor: Glass Studio ArtistsPrerequisite: Advanced-Beginner GlassblowingRegistration Closing: April `1Learn the basics of color application using powders, frits, and color bars. This workshop will emphasize the importance of building positive habits and solid hand skills, as well as navigating the challenges of working with color. This course will emphasize individual attention and instruction divided between demonstrations and supervised work time. This class is ideal for students who have minimal to basic glassblowing skills, not for true beginners. Students should have taken at least one beginning glassblowing class prior to this course. *Registration includes access to Student Open Blow on Friday evenings from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. during the class run time. Pet Policy: Visitors are NOT permitted to bring pets onto the WheatonArts campus. Only Service Dogs, as defined by the ADA, are welcome on the grounds.Seats are limited and booked on a first-come, first-reserve basis. Besides an auto-generated email receipt, you will receive a confirmation email from the Director of Education and Artist Services, Pamela Weichmann. After this time, workshop fees are non-refundable. WheatonArts reserves the right to cancel a workshop due to minimum enrollment. If cancellation occurs, WheatonArts will refund all workshop fees. A $25 fee is charged to those who do not show up for their appointment. We require 24 hours’ notice to cancel an appointment; otherwise, it will be considered a no-show, except in the case of illness. Are you feeling unwell or showing symptoms of COVID-19?
