Where are we meeting?

Volunteers will meet for check-in at the intersection of 18th Street and Olympic Blvd (the southern end of the microforest). Please refer to the map provided above for the exact meeting location.

Where can I park?

Accepted Answer

On the day of the event, free parking should be available on 18th Street. Parking at metered spots on Olympic Blvd. will also be available ($1.25/hr, free on Sundays).

Question 3

Is the site accessible via transit?

Accepted Answer

The 17th/SMC Metro Station is a short 5-min walk from the event location and offers cheap all-day parking ($3/day). Public transit/carpooling is encouraged!

Question 4

What time should I arrive?

Please arrange to arrive by 9:00 am. A brief introduction/demonstration will begin at 9:15 am.

What should I bring?

Please bring long pants, closed-toed shoes, a hat, sunscreen, and plenty of water! Gloves, tools, and snacks will be provided, but feel free to bring your own if you prefer.

Why is there an age restriction for this event?

Accepted Answer
