On the Canals: Paddle the Erie Canal St. Johnsville

Paddle and explore the Erie Canal in Montgomery County!
Experience the Erie Canal by water on this kayak adventure through Montgomery County. Participants will launch from St. Johnsville Marina and paddle west toward the Enlarged Erie Canal Lock No. 33 and back. This scenic 3.5-mile round-trip route is good for beginners. The ability to kayak is required.
This program is part of Visit Montgomery County’s “On the Canals” series connecting residents and visitors to recreation, history, and outdoor exploration along the Erie Canalway.
This excursion is part of the On the Canals program, brought to you free by Upstate Kayak Rentals, the NYS Canal Corporation and the NY Power Authority.
