Join us every Wednesday evening for seasonal plant and sustainability lessons at the Skyfarm on POST Houston.
Join Us Every Wednesday from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM to Experience and Learn at the Skyfarm!
Our weekly Open Farm Day is your chance to experience the Blackwood Skyfarm at POST Houston for after-school/after-work education each and every week. Each Open Farm Day begins with an overview of the Skyfarm followed by a seasonal plant or farming lesson.
Open Farm Days at the Skyfarm are weekly on Wednesdays, year-round.
- Every Wednesday, 4:30 - 6:30 pm
- Free and open to all, with RSVP required to communicate on special instructions.
Each week alternates between a Seasonal Plant Lesson or Community Farm lesson:
Seasonal Plant Lessons are hands-on sessions where you will learn the benefits of various plants and how to utilize their benefits within your own garden and kitchen.
Community Farm Lessons are also hands-on experiential learning sessions where you become an urban farmer for the day, picking up tips on how to start and nurture your own home, school, or community garden.
Examples of past lessons include: Spring Herbal Tea Plant Lesson, Companion Planting Farm Lesson, Alliums in Houston Plant Lesson, etc. Check in here or our Instagram for weekly class updates! Our Instagram @blackwood_sky is the best way to stay up to date on all happening at the Skyfarm.
