Get ready to kick off the school year with some sweet fun! Join Celebrity Pastry Chef Dawn of Ravy Cakes, LLC for a special Parent & Me Sugar Cookie Decorating Class with Royal Icing, where you and your little one will team up to decorate adorable back-to-school themed cookies—think apples, pencils, notebooks, and more! The perfect way to celebrate the school year!

In this hands-on class, you’ll learn basic cookie decorating techniques using royal icing while creating memorable moments together. No experience needed—just bring your creativity and a sweet tooth! Each pair will leave with a set of beautifully decorated cookies and the skills to recreate the magic at home.

Perfect for ages 5 and up. All supplies included. Each Team will decorate six freshly baked sugar cookies.

Meet Your Instructor:

Dawn Alston of Ravy Cakes, a Philadelphia, Pennsylvania native, grew up in Northern Virginia where she started baking at the age of six. Dawn holds an Associates Degree in Culinary Arts and has competed in many local baking events and in 2018 she competed on Food Network’s Wedding Cake Championship. All The Details:

• Age Level: 5-14 with a parent/adult
• Skill Level: Beginner
• Each ticket includes 1 adult and 1 child. If you wish to bring more than 1 child to the class, there will be an additional charge of $75. Please contact Fran's directly to purchase your ticket to ensure we can accommodate an additional child.
• All supplies and tools are provided for use during class.
• We will provide a box for each team to take your cake home in
• The class may be a little messy so we recommend bringing an apron.
• If you have long hair, you may want to tie it back.
• Class requires a minimum of 2 teams and there is a maximum of 8 teams. In the event of insufficient enrollment, you will receive a full refund.
• Class will run approximately 2 to 2.5 hours. Please note that the class is hands-on and may run over or under schedule.

Cancellation Policy:

Changes and cancellations...we know life happens so we try our best to be flexible while being fair to our instructors who purchase supplies and bake for each student. Full refunds or credits are available for cancellations made at least 5 days prior to the class. If you need to cancel after 5 days but at least 48 hours in advance, we can offer you a credit for a future class. We cannot offer any credits for cancellations within 48 hours of the scheduled class.
