Who can participate in this event?

This event is designed for experienced paddlers ages 18 and above who are comfortable participating in an outdoor coastal kayaking activity.

Is this event beginner-friendly?

Accepted Answer

No. This paddle experience is designed for experienced kayakers and paddlers only. Participants should already be comfortable handling their kayak independently in coastal water conditions and should have prior paddling experience before registering for this event.

Yes. Participation capacity is limited to help ensure safety, operational coordination, and a quality paddle experience for all attendees.

Where is the participant check-in location?

Participant check-in will take place at the Copano Bridge Boat Ramp located along the scenic Copano Causeway between Rockport and Bayside.

How long is the paddle route?

Accepted Answer

The planned paddle course is approximately 3 miles and is expected to take about 1 to 1.5 hours of active paddling depending on weather, water conditions, and group pacing.

Is my registration automatically confirmed after signing up on Eventbrite?

Accepted Answer

No. Submission of an Eventbrite registration alone does not automatically confirm participation. Participants must also complete and sign the required online waiver and registration acknowledgment form prior to event check-in to be officially admitted as a confirmed participant.

Are kayak rentals available?

Accepted Answer

Participants may arrange rentals independently through local kayak outfitters and rental providers. Availability may vary and should be secured ahead of time.

What should participants wear or bring?

Participants are encouraged to bring:
• Water and hydration
• Sunscreen
• Mosquito repellant, hat and sun protection
• Appropriate water/outdoor clothing
• Personal safety equipment
• Waterproof phone pouch or dry bag (optional)

What happens if weather conditions become unsafe?

For participant safety, the event may be postponed, delayed, or modified in the event of unsafe weather or water conditions.

Will food be provided?

Light post-paddle refreshments and fellowship will be available following the event. Participants should not expect a full dinner service.

When do I need to complete the online waiver?

Accepted Answer

The required online waiver must be completed and signed online before arriving for event check-in. Participants who have not completed the waiver ahead of time may not be permitted to participate in the paddle activity. Please complete the waiver after registration.

Will there be a waitlist if registration fills up?

Accepted Answer

Yes. If participant slots become available, waitlisted individuals will automatically receive further instructions on how to complete registration and secure their participation slot.

Yes. Participants are responsible for bringing their own kayak, paddle, personal flotation device (PFD/life jacket), hydration, mosquito repellant and sun protection equipment.

Participants are encouraged to arrive between 5:30 PM and 6:00 PM for check-in, waiver verification, launch preparation, and shuttle coordination.

When will the final weather confirmation be announced?

Accepted Answer

A final weather and event-condition confirmation will be announced by 1:00 PM on Thursday, June 18, prior to the scheduled event date. Participants are encouraged to monitor their email, Eventbrite notifications, and official Aransas Pathways communication channels for updates.
