The "Beyond the Beach" Series highlights events where we explore further inland, trading in picturesque beaches for oak-filled hammocks or sprawling pine flatwoods. Join us on one of these hikes to discover the wilder side of Martin County.

Join Explore Natural Martin on a journey to the past on this scenic nature walk through Seabranch Preserve State Park. On this guided nature walk, we will discover the rich history of this beautiful area with local Martin County historian, Chessy Ricca. You will be able to imagine how this preserve, and the town surrounding it, has changed through the decades to become what we know today. Don't miss out on this unique opportunity to connect with nature and learn about fascinating local history! <h4>DETAILS</h4>FREE program, but reservations are requiredThis program will begin at 8:30am and last until approximately 10:30amThe length of this nature walk is about 1-2 miles across various natural surfaces, primarily sandPlease wear appropriate outdoor clothing and footwearBring water, sunscreen, and bug sprayMinors (under 18) must be accompanied by an adultNo petsAll participants will be required to sign electronic waivers that will be sent prior to the program <h4>VISITOR INFORMATION</h4><ul><li>If you are a visitor planning a trip to Martin County and would like to preregister for the event, please email ecotourism@martin.fl.us</li><li>Looking for an eco-friendly place to stay while visiting Martin County?
