Beyond the Beach

The "Beyond the Beach" Series highlights events where we explore further inland, trading in picturesque beaches for oak-filled hammocks or sprawling pine flatwoods. Join us on one of these hikes to discover the wilder side of Martin County.

May is Historic Preservation Month! As we walk through the scenic mangrove forest, we’ll learn about the native peoples who once lived here and take a closer look at the natural surroundings that supported their way of life. This easy-paced nature walk is perfect for anyone curious about local history and nature.
