Join us for a guided tour highlighting key pest and disease issues in Southeastern PA.
We will walk a pre-scouted route of the Arboretum to showcase some key pest and disease issues common to Southeastern PA. Insect and mite issues will include hemlock woolly adelgid, spruce spider mite, white pine sheath mite, boxwood leafminer, boxwood mite, and various scales. We will also discuss the protection of pollinators and other beneficial insects through the proper use of registered products.
This walk is cosponsored and led by Chris Ward of John B. Ward & Co. Arborists. Attendance provides 3 CEUs for ISA Certified Arborists. Specific information on credit categories can be provided upon request.
Our walk will be conducted entirely outdoors. Please wear good walking shoes and dress for the weather!
