  • Jim Tolstrup is the Executive Director of High Plains Environmental Center in Loveland, Colorado, where he advances a model for preserving native biodiversity within developed communities. With a background in landscape design, environmental stewardship, and education, he has received multiple awards for sustainable landscaping and land stewardship and has written extensively on these topics. Growing up with limited access to nature shaped his commitment to connecting people with the natural world and fostering collaboration across communities to protect it for future generations.
  • The Rocky Mountain Native Plant Primer by Bryan Fischer
  • Bryan Fischer is the Horticulture Manager, where he oversees horticulture design and maintenance operations. Previously Curator of Plant Collections at the Gardens on Spring Creek, Bryan is widely recognized for his expertise in horticulture and naturalistic garden design, and regularly speaks and writes on these topics. He is also co-author of The Rocky Mountain Native Plant Primer and holds a B.S. in Horticulture and an interdisciplinary minor in Organic Agriculture from Colorado State University.
