Poinciana Fiesta Celebration Party and Reception

The Tropical Flowering Tree Society (TFTS) www.tfts.org was formed in 1988 as a nonprofit by a handful of enthusiasts interested in promoting, propagating and preserving tropical flowering trees.  TFTS hosts the  Royal Poinciana Fiesta www.royalp.org now in its 86th year!  The longest continuously running festival in Miami-Dade celebrating the beauty of flowering trees and distributing scholarship money to young women studying horticulture in all its aspects and botany related fields.

The Annual Celebration of Miami’s Oldest Continuing Festival.  Visit www.royalp.org to become a scholarship supporter of the Royal Poinciana Fiesta.  Family friendly, part of Florida's Intangible Cultural Heritage, & celebrating diverse communities.

Sunday, June 4th, 20236:00 - 9:00 PM Poinciana Fiesta Celebration Party and Reception in the Garden House of Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden, 10901 Old Cutler Road, Coral Gables.. Starting at 6 PM, display of Highwaymen paintings and display of vintage postcards featuring the Royal Poinciana and piano music by Paul Williams. Starting at 7 PM, refreshments will be served including Royal Poinciana Punch. Starting at 7:30 PM, presentations of the 2023 Royal Poinciana Fiesta Queen and Court scholarship recipients, the Larry Schokman Book Award recipient, and the Poinciana Ambassador Award recipient. Poinciana cake will be served at the end of the presentations. A limited edition 2023 Royal Poinciana Fiesta poster by one of the original Highwaymen, James Gibson, will be available for sale. *This event is free and open to the public, but guests are requested to bring a dish to share or make a donation. *New memberships in the Tropical Flowering Tree Society are encouraged. Just add a membership with your FREE admission ticket!*Park and enter at the Fairchild South Entrance on Old Cutler Road (the old, traditional entrance to Fairchild)
