Overview

Pottery Re-Fit is part of the SCDNR Archaeology Summer Series. This hands-on program is free and designed for kids ages 6 - 18 years old.

The Pottery Re-Fit activity is designed to help kids learn about techniques used by archaeologists in the lab. Kids will decorate small ceramic pots (one per person) using markers, then “accidentally” drop them…Oops! Using glue, a brush and puzzle power they reassemble their pots to take home.

This program is for ages 6 – 18 years old, however, younger children can participate. All supplies for this hands-on activity are provided. The program will take place in the outdoor covered breezeway of Parker Annex Archaeology Center. Parents and guardians must remain with minors at all times.
