Laser Cutter Certification Private Lesson

Date/Time: Private Lessons can be scheduled on a Friday or Saturday, between 11am and 4pm, or according to instructor availability. Please email Vicki Branagan at vbranagan@contemporarycraft.org if you have specific scheduling availability questions or concerns prior to booking.

How it Works: Have a specific project but need a little assistance? Whether it's preparing Lightburn files or working out specific laser settings, Vicki can assist you to make sure your project is perfect!

Tuition: $30 per 30 minutes

Not sure how much time you need?

• 30 Minutes: I already have laser cutter experinece and files ready and just need a run down CC's specific machine!
• 1 Hour: I have little laser cutter experience but have a project in mind that I need guidance on.
• 2 Hours: I have no laser cutter or software experinece. I need a full lesson on machine usage and file creation. Pre-download of Lightburn Sowftare Free trial is required.

Materials: You are welcome to bring your own if you have specific materials you want to work with. We can also use CC scrap material for general instruction and project testing. We recommend bringing a USB drive to transfer files.

Technology considerations:

• CC uses Lightburn, a design software program, to command the laser. This program runs on both Mac OSX and Windows, and students should download the program before arriving for the workshop. A free 30-day trial of Lightburn can be downloaded at: https://lightburnsoftware.com/pages/trial-version-try-before-you-buy
• In this one on one session, personal laptops or computers are recommended. If you do not have a laptop, you can use a CC laptop. Please bring a USB drive with you to save your files.

Cancellations and Refunds: Private lessons are non-refundable. If you need to reschedule your private lesson, we require at least 24 hours notice.
