The Poetry Society of New York's in-person NY events! PSNY is an artist-led nonprofit that creates fun, innovative poetry experiences. Our mission is to bring the transformative impact of poetry to those seeking a more creative life.

PSNY + Haricot Vert Present: Poetry in the Dreamworld, the National Poetry Month / National Dreamer Day Collaboration of Your Dreams (Literally &amp; Figuratively) ✨ Poetry and dreams share a language—symbols, feelings, fragments of memory. Both move through us, often unfiltered, mysterious, and deeply human. In this generative workshop, we’ll explore the parallels between dreaming and writing, using both as tools for deeper self-connection and poetic play. Together, we’ll ask:<ul><li>What does it mean to write from the dreamworld?</li><li>How can we bridge the unconscious and the poetic?</li><li>What new questions and images can we dream up—together?</li></ul> We'll look to inspiring poets and intuitive writing prompts to guide us, and close the evening with space to share and reflect. This workshop will be led by Jackie Braje, Brooklyn-based poet, educator, and Chief Operating Officer of The Poetry Society of New York! Jackie is also the Managing Director of the NYC Poetry Festival and co-founder of Milk Press.
