Well... our workshop involves sharp objects and multi-step instructions aimed at adults. If you have a younger crafter (15+) and can be an actively participating co-crafting guardian, please get in touch with puppets@sillysidehustles.com, and we will consider this on a case-by-case basis.

Can I walk in day of?

If there is still space available... You can turn up on the day of, but we still request you book through Eventbrite.

Are puppeteering lessons included in the workshop?

Yes, I try to give a short puppetry demo session at the end. But if you have specifics you want to learn, ask me in class. We are hosting a proper monitor class where the essentials of TV puppetry are taught. If this interests you, please check Eventbrite or email puppets@sillysidehustles.com

They are suitable for video, performance, boring video calls, TikToks, or goofing around with friends.

Don't worry, we will show you step-by-step how to make your puppet. If you feel like you aren't "creative," this is a great place to learn. The steps are clear, the risk is low and everyone walks away feeling like a winner.

Yes, all materials are provided.

Can I bring my own puppet making materials?

If you'd like to bring a small accessory to complement your puppet, we can probably accommodate that, but we won't have time to incorporate a ton of outside crafting materials.

Are sharp tools or glue used?

Yes,  sewing needles, blades, and hot glue are used. However, safe usage of all items is taught.

There is only enough time to make one during the workshop. However, we have a prepackaged puppet kits available for purchase.
