<h4>What Your Ticket Includes</h4><ul><li>Guided creative writing prompts - Whatever you want to write about, a playful, guided “choose your own adventure” approach will help you move those words out of your head and onto paper. You may surprise yourself with what emerges: thoughts about identity and self-discovery; queer joy and community; love, grief, injustice, healing; a pivotal moment in your life.</li><li>A beginner-friendly experience - No previous writing experience necessary! Whether you’re a longtime writer, secret poet, casual journaler, or completely new to creative writing, this space is for you.</li><li>Small group connection + optional sharing - Writers will be invited into supportive small groups with the option(!) to share their work, reflect, and offer constructive feedback in an affirming environment. You are also welcome to keep your work private and be a listening ear for someone else!</li><li>A welcoming creative space - Check-in and welcome will take place from 6:30 PM–7:00 PM, followed by approximately one hour of guided prompts and writing exploration led by June Gervais, with mingling/sharing time afterwards.</li><li>One complimentary drink - Choose a mocktail, cocktail, beer or wine</li><li>A donation to Queerli - 25% of each ticket will go towards Queerli's mission of creating safer spaces for the LGBTQIA+ communities</li></ul>

<h4>About the Author + Host</h4>June Gervais's queer coming-of-age novel Jobs for Girls with Artistic Flair (Penguin Books) has been praised in the New York Times, Newsday, Autostraddle's Rainbow Reading, Shondaland's Pride Month Reading List, and many others. Her poetry, essays, and stories have appeared in 30+ publications including Lit Hub and Writer's Digest. <h4>Getting There</h4>By Car - Park in the town metered parking lots or find nearby street parking. By Train - The Long Island Railroad (LIRR) to Port Jeff is ~1 mile away from the venue. By Ferry - If you're in CT and take the Bridgeport Ferry to Port Jeff, the ferry docks 0.2 miles away from the venue.

<h4>Accessibility</h4>The Brewtique at Hoptron is wheelchair accessible with an accessible entrance and an ADA-compliant bathroom. There are hightop tables and also lower tables at the venue. If you're in need of assistance or have any questions about the space, please reach out to Queerli.
