We will be exploring urban forests, journaling about nature, sketching our observations, work with clay, and enjoy the summer weather.
Radicle Summer is hosting summer camp for teens. Our mission each summer is to grow your connection to nature through art and immersion. Come learn how connecting to nature is a form of climate action. We will be exploring (hiking) urban forests, journaling about nature, sketching our observations, and enjoying the summer weather. Campers will develop their inner naturalist (think Rachel Carlson and John Muir), work on 2D art, and get dirty with clay*. All art supplies are included.
Join us in radical artistic expressions while engaging in natural history topics across Seattle Parks! We will be rotating our camp weekly between the following parks:
1) South Seattle (Jefferson Park/Seward Park)
2) Magnolia (Discovery Park)
3) UW area (Magnuson Park/Union Bay)
4) Montlake (UW Arboretum/Volunteer Park)
Lunch and snacks are provided for campers without food allergies. Common dietary preferences can be accommodated if requested, otherwise campers must bring their own food to avoid contamination. Please contact us for additional questions and concerns at radiclesummer@gmail.com.
*Working with clay is a multi-step process. Parents and Campers will be emailed for the earliest available pick up of their art pieces, approximately 6-weeks after camp.
