What should I bring?

questions, "ready to learn" attitude, plastic products you may want to recycle (we will discuss them in class as time allows), and any PPE you would like to use (i.e. safety glasses, gloves, mask)

Can I take the subsequent classes in this subject without taking this one?

Accepted Answer

This is not advised as it covers all the basics of the subject that would not be covered in subsequent classes in favor of time.

Question 3

Will I learn how to do recyclable plastic craft at home?

Accepted Answer

Yes, if you buy  the right equipment. If you take all the classes in the subject you will gain an even better understanding of how to do the craft on your own- even at home.

Question 4

Are there any dangers invloved?

Accepted Answer

Melting and cutting plastic does involve inherent risks, but proper safety procedures, safety equipment, and awareness make it all manageable.

Question 5

Do I need or have to do anything else?

Accepted Answer

You will be expected to show up on time for the class and sign a wavier acknowledging you understand and agree to the possibility of injury before the class starts.

Question 6

Can I cancel my ticket for a refund?

Accepted Answer

You must contact us at MakerSpace Charlotte to confirm you want to cancel your ticket by the day (24 hours) before the event. We ask you cancel as soon as you decide not to attend to ensure we can issue you a refund and open your place in the class back up to others who maybe interested.

Where do I go when I get to Makerspace Charlotte?

Accepted Answer

Look for our sign over the door on the left side of the brick building at our address. The door may be locked, so make sure you knock and ring the doorbell for entry.
