Hands-On Babka & Brioche Baking Class (2.5 Hours)

Indulge in the rich, buttery world of babka and brioche in this hands-on 2.5-hour baking class! Perfect for passionate home bakers or curious beginners, this workshop will guide you through the foundational techniques behind two iconic breads—each soft, fluffy, and absolutely irresistible.

You’ll learn:

• How to make enriched dough from scratch
• Proper kneading, proofing, and shaping methods
• Braiding and layering techniques to create a stunning chocolate babka
• Forming classic brioche rolls or loaves
• Tips for achieving a golden, glossy finish every time

During the final portion of the class, you'll relax and enjoy warm slices of your freshly baked babka and brioche, paired with coffee or tea.

All ingredients and materials are provided. Just bring your love of baking and a hearty appetite!

Note: Children under 12 must be accompanied by a participating adult.

NY Cake Academy classes are held in our Manhattan flagship at 118 W 22nd St. All supplies and materials are included. If you require special accommodations, please contact custom@nycakeacademy.com. Classes are hands-on, interactive experiences.

Plan to arrive 10 minutes before class start time. Class will start promptly at the listed time.
Important: Participants who arrive more than 15 minutes late will not be allowed to join the class and will forfeit their tuition. No refunds or rescheduling will be permitted.

Refund & Transfer Policy

NY Cake Academy classes are not eligible for refunds, however classes are transferrable.

All bookings receive a confirmation immediately after purchase. Please notify custom@nycakeacademy.com if you do not receive a confirmation email. Students are responsible for ensuring they receive and read their confirmation email.

If you would like to change a class date, email custom@nycakeacademy.com at least 48 hours in advance. Include the full name of the registered student, class confirmation number, and the class you wish to transfer into. If we do not receive notice and you do not attend, your payment is forfeited. We allow one courtesy makeup for a missed class; if you miss your makeup class, your tuition is forfeited.

If a class is canceled due to low enrollment, inclement weather, or other circumstances beyond our control (power outage, facility issues, etc.), we will notify you as soon as possible and issue a refund to your original form of payment.

If we decide to run the class and you choose not to attend, no refund will be issued, but you will receive a credit valid for 1 year toward a future class.
